The top 5 questions We get asked in the shop about Aran Sweaters are

1. which is the best wool to buy Merino or Pure New Wool? Merino wool is a softer wool imported usually from New Zealand or South America and the jumper is made in Ireland. Pure New wool is a little more coarse but considered maybe a little harder wearing, the wool is Irish .

2. Are all our jumpers 100% Wool ? Yes 100%

3. which is the warmest? depends on the weight really, both wools are extremely warm.

4.. which is the easiest to care for ? Merino wool has a reputation for being more washing machine friendly, we always advise to hand wash any woollens in cold water and dry naturally, or best practice is not to wash it at all!
