Eddie Doherty Hand Woven Tweed Throw Aqua Herring Bone

Eddie Doherty Hand Woven Throw Made in Donegal.

Eddie Doherty has been making high quality hand woven tweed since the 1960’s. We have visited him in his Studio in Ardara County Donegal and it is incredible to watch him on his loom spinning away and producing the most incredible Hand Woven Tweed throws that we are delighted to be selling on our Website. An Eddie Doherty throw is something special to behold, from start to finish it takes up to a week to produce one of his throws to be completed. They are much heavier in weight to our machine made throws and can weigh up to 2 kilo’s each of Donegal Yarns that is spun on Eddie’s loom. Each throw has twisted cream tassels at both ends and shown here in Aqua Herring Bone Design. Each piece measures 200cm x 150cm
